Volunteering with Shop Mobility

Shopmobility Manchester helps over 4,500 people with a permanent or temporary disability to get around the shops and use the wider facilities of the city centre of Manchester.

We provide a fleet of powered scooters, powered and manual wheelchairs, as well as services for those who might require assistance with their shopping because of a visual impairment or who are new to the city.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the service and having just moved into our new state of the art premises in the refurbished Arndale Centre we are looking for new volunteers to help develop and steer the service.

Are you disabled and looking to gain new or improve existing, customer service, telephone, admin and IT skills in a quality and professional service led environment or perhaps you have a few free hours per week and would like to share your love of shopping and the city with others. What ever your reason, Shopmobility would like to hear from you.

You will be supported by our hands-on Volunteer Co-ordinator who will work with you to ensure that you get the most out of your volunteering experience. All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
