How easy is it?
All our machines are very simple to operate.
They are driven by one easy hand control, travel at walking pace and are specially designed to be used on pavements.
If you have never used this sort of equipment before, our experienced staff will be happy to train you – and it won’t take a long time!
What else can I do?
For most people, getting around the city centre will be the number one reason for using Shopmobility. But we expect you’ll find that we can help you with all sorts of other activities – not just shopping.
With Shopmobility, making work appointments can be so much easier. Trips to the cinema, a concert or theatre become possible. Eating out can be an enjoyment. And, simply meandering around the city can become a pleasure.

When can I use Shopmobility?
We are open seven days a week:
- Monday - Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm
- Thursday - 9:30am - 7:00pm
- Sundays & Bank Holidays 11:00am - 5:00pm
- Closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday

How much does it cost?
Nothing. There is no charge. Shopmobility, however, does need all the help we can get to meet our running costs. Any donation you may make will be very welcome. We are always looking for volunteers. If you have any spare time, and would like to help us help people, why not call us now?
